From time to time you will have to clean the cages and blades of your rotary shaver. Upon reassembly it is important to match the previous pairs of cages and blades as they are mutually ground-in.

This holder helps you to maintain the togetherness of the cage/blade pairs.

Use a degreaser solution (e.g. soap) in an ultrasonic bath or an overnight stay in a drinking glass of more than 60 mm diameter. The next morning you can remove the grease carefully e.g. with a toothbrush. Don't bend the blades!

It is almost impossible to make a FDM 3D print watertight. Therefore I sliced and printed the holder with zero top and bottom layers (but 15% infill, see pictures) in order to let it dry quickly after use.

As always I include the OpenSCAD source file for you to improve or adapt. In case you want to modify it:

  • Download and install OpenSCAD from https://www.openscad.org
  • Launch OpenSCAD and open the enclosed OpenSCAD source file (/File/Open).
  • Amend the parameters at the top of the file and/or modify the source code.
  • Save your changes (/File/Save).
  • Render the design (/Design/Render).
  • Export the rendered design e.g. as a .stl file (/File/Export/Export as STL).
  • Slice and print.
