  • Great Wall Beacon Tower

This is a 3D-printed model of a Great Wall beacon tower, inspired by a quintessential defensive structure from the Ming Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in China. Beacon towers were a core component of the Great Wall’s defense system, primarily used to relay military intelligence (as the famous “beacon fire to amuse the feudal lords” anecdote suggests), station troops for defense, and monitor enemy movements.

Layer height: 0.2 mm. The model was printed without supports.
