LLL Plus Buffer Mount for the Centauri Carbon

This is a simple bracket designed to use the LLL Plus Buffer with the Centauri Carbon printer.
The buffer replaces the original filament sensor, enables automatic filament loading and unloading, and (supposedly) helps improve print quality.

You can purchase it on AliExpress or directly from Mellow’s official store, either as a DIY kit or a pre-assembled unit.

It is necessary to replace the M3 screws on the panel with longer ones.
The bracket requires an M3xL4xOD5 insert for the lower buffer screw; for the upper screw, an insert is not needed since it uses the existing thread on the side panel.

Electrical Compatibility

The buffer’s signal is compatible with the original filament sensor (outputs 3.3V when filament is detected), but the unit itself requires a 12V–24V power supply.
I used the original cable, with two adapter cables — one on each end:

Mainboard-side modification:
Connected the original cable to the printer’s 24V PSU and to the filament sensor signal pin on the mainboard.

Buffer-side modification:
Extended the cable length to reach the device and added a 4-pin JST XH connector for the buffer.

⚠ Important

If you plan to make this modification, make sure you fully understand the connections on both the mainboard and the buffer, and know exactly what you’re doing.
