This birdhouse features a clever multi-piece design that lets you create a beautiful, multi-color finished product without the need for an CFS, AMS, MMU, or other multi material system. Simply print the three separate parts and assemble! The entire model is engineered to be printed with no supports.

Locking roof, the roof is a  separate part for two purposes: color adaption and ease of clean out of the old nest when no longer in use. In order to help keep predators out, I have added grooves to the top of the house and bottom of the roof to allow a zip tie to be inserted on each side. Since this only needs to be unlocked for cleanout a single use ziptie is my recommendation. If predators are not a concern in your area this can be left out.

The roof uses an M3 heatset insert in the pictures includes, but an M3 screw should also work since the roof is not designed to be opened/closed repeatedly like in my feeder design.
