The coaster was designed based on my Shanwen Jia fabric pattern, with an unprofessional hand‑drawn cloud motif added to the outer ring—no need to nitpick, experts!
The coaster is divided into an inner ring (9 cm in diameter) and an outer ring (12 cm). After printing, simply press the two rings together firmly to assemble the larger piece—with the outer ring on top and the Jia‑style panel facing down, then apply downward pressure. Alternatively, you can print just the inner ring to create a smaller coaster.
To test the heat resistance of standard silk PLA, we placed a regular mug filled with 100°C water on top—and no significant deformation occurred. It seems that ceramic materials possess a certain degree of thermal insulation. For camping mugs, soup pots, casserole dishes, and other items that routinely exceed 100°C, please exercise extreme caution: high‑temperature warning!
