This version is compatible with the original front-end design and requires only a slight trim to the top cover using a utility knife—no impact on aesthetics (see Figure 2). In the first-generation model, frequent printing of round objects via pneumatic interfaces often led to premature wear and eventual breakage of the Teflon tubing at the interface. This updated version features a Bowden connector that’s specifically designed for the K2P’s original Bowden setup, effectively resolving and preventing Bowden tube damage that could otherwise render printing impossible.
