Description:

This is a model of the spaceship present in the old videogame Galaga, called Gyagara, made for the contest “Games of the 80s”, based on the Galaga '88 edition.

Printing instructions:

I provided two different printing profile: one vertical allows for way less support to be used, which means less marks left on the model, but will require a lot more color changes and waste more filament(330g) and printing time(20h 44m); whilst the horizontal one will require a loooot more support, but consume way less filament(only 189g) and time to print(11h 46m). Feel free to decide which printing path to follow: quality or efficiency.

Other than the support already set up, there is no need for brim or other special settings. I suggest not flushing filament in the infilling(it will change the amount consumed by just 5g) to not ruin the model's colors, but if you really wanna do it, raise the amount of walls to 3 or 4.

The above data and suggestions are valid for the multicolor print; in case of monocolor ones, the vertical profile is the best one both for filament used(27g vs 34g) and printing time(1h41m vs 2h6m).

If you want just to play with it, I suggest the Horizontal profile; if you want to collect and be sure to looks nice, go with the Vertical profile(as shown in the photos I uploaded, the Horizontal profile will leave a lot of support's marks under the model, whilst the Vertical one will result way more smooth).

Assembly instructions:

Nothing to assemble as the model is made in one single piece.

Post processing:

Depending on the printing profile decided, there may more or less support to remove; for the vertical profile, there is little support and it comes out pretty easily. For the horizontal profile, the support to be removed will be more and require more patience, work and delicay to not damage the rest of the model and may require a bit of sandpaper to remove the support's marks.
