  • Drybox

Most filaments have to be kept dry. Here is the DIY information you need to built your own filament drybox, which stores your filament and also can be used directly as a filament holder. Besides the 3D printable parts available for download here, you will need the following parts:

  • off the shelf air tight cereal box (approx. 25 cm H x 22 cm L x 8 cm, 4 l)
  • 2 standard skateboard ball bearings 608 (8 mm x 22 mm x 7 mm)
  • off the shelf cheap thermo-hygrometer (48 mm x 28.6 mm)
  • 4 mm M6 push-connector for the PTFE-tube
  • 9x Torx M5 screws of 10 mm length
  • approximately 50 ml of Silica Gel (which will keep things real dry!)

Note, the container I was using had an asymmetric shape, therefore the inner brackets come in an slight angle!

New roll design:
Following GiolliJokers comment I have added my older design of the roll, which consists of 3 parts and prints much faster.
