This 3D model represents a 7mm Lefaucheux pinfire cartridge, one of the first truly self-contained metallic rounds where bullet, black powder and primer were combined into a single unit instead of loose powder and percussion caps.
Such 7 mm cartridges were commonly used in small Lefaucheux‑type pocket revolvers in the second half of the 19th century and are a classic example of early pinfire technology.
The body of the cartridge (case and bullet) is modeled as a single printable part, following authentic historical proportions of surviving 7 mm pinfire rounds.
The side pin is not printed: cut a 10 mm piece of standard 1.75 mm filament and glue it into the prepared hole in the case to complete the dummy cartridge.
The model is designed for easy printing with no supports and no brim (support – no, brim – no) and works well in PETG, PLA or ASA, depending on the strength and finish you prefer.
Download the model, print a few dummy rounds for your collection or display, and if you like it, please rate it, share it and give it a boost so more historical‑firearms fans can find it.
If you need different dimensions (overall length, case diameter, bullet shape) for a specific revolver, replica or diorama, just write your required values in the comments and a custom version can be prepared.
Also feel free to ask for other cartridges or parts you would like to see modeled (different pinfire calibers, early rimfire, decorative dummy ammo, etc.) and new designs can be added over time.
