Paw-Shaped Can Opener

I designed this paw-shaped can opener as a fun and practical 3D print. The idea was to make a simple can opener look a bit more interesting, so I went with a paw-shaped handle and added raised paw pads on top.

The handle is comfortable to hold and works with a pull-tab can opener mechanism. I also added a small metal chain and keychain ring, so it can be attached to a bag or kept with your other keys.

Printing

The handle can be 3D printed using PLA or PETG. The exact print settings may depend on your printer and the size of the model.

You can print the handle in one color and the paw pads in another to get the same look as the example, or use any colors you like.

Assembly

The printed handle needs a suitable metal can opener mechanism to work. The metal parts and keychain hardware are separate from the printed model.

Depending on the version, you may need to assemble the handle with the metal opener and attach the keychain ring.

Notes

This model is designed for pull-tab cans. The printed part is the handle, not the cutting mechanism.

The example is printed in cream and pink, but you can make it in any color combination you want.
