Pro Tip for Supports: For clean and easy support removal, mind your printing temperature. Matte PLA performs best at 220°C, while standard PLA / PLA+ releases cleanly at 210°C. Higher temps can fuse supports directly to the overhangs.
⚠️ Careful Support Removal (Teeth & Fangs):
While the supports generally detach cleanly, please exercise patience around the mouth:
- The delicate teeth and needle-thin fangs can easily snap if supports are pulled aggressively.
- Use fine flush cutters or pliers to snip and nibble the supports away gradually in small pieces rather than trying to rip them off in one large section.
About the Model & Painting
The model holds an imposing presence in plain matte black, but multi-tone dry brushing reveals the full depth of the bone structure:
- Skull & Segmented Spine: Dry brushed heavily in warm bronze across the entire bone structure to bring out the raised vertebrae edges, ribs, and skull plates.
- Teeth & Fangs: Highlighted in crisp silver to make the sharp, deadly rows of teeth cleanly stand out from the dark jaws.
- Pedestal Base: Finished with a light brush of bronze along the beveled edges to maintain the classic, weathered stone aesthetic.
