Printing

Print Orientation

I rotated all of the keycaps by 30° in order to get a smoother top surface. Printing them flat will also work, but might be visible layers.

Supports

These keycaps will need supports. My goal was to create a keycap surface that was as smooth as possible, that's why I needed to make a compromise here.

I used standard supports, not tree supports, and set the threshold angle to 40°. Since all of the contact areas are not horizontal, the supports should detach fairly easily.

Quality

The keycaps in the pictures above are printed with 0,08 mm layer height and a 0,2 mm nozzle to get the best results. Function wise, a 0,4 mm nozzle should also be fine, but the letters on the keycaps might lack some detail.

General

Please feel free to customise and remix this model. I would love to see your modifications or colour combinations with this!
