How to Use

1. Prepare the Materials
Gather a sharp knife (with a keen edge), rooting powder, sphagnum moss, cable ties, and vigorous bonsai stock.

2. Ring Barking
Select an appropriate location on the stock for root initiation and carefully ring bark around the trunk—ensure the bark removal extends to twice the diameter of the trunk. Also trim away any exposed green bark to prevent the formation of new bark layers; continue stripping until you reach the white, woody tissue.

3. Wrapping
Soak a paper towel thoroughly in rooting solution—typically diluted 300–500 times—and use it to gently wrap the wound, applying just enough moisture without over‑packing. Saturate the sphagnum moss with water, then fill the high‑pressure wrapping bag with moist moss, packing it loosely rather than tightly. Once the two halves of the wrapping bag are securely joined, secure the base with a cable tie.

4. Post‑Treatment Care
Maintain consistent moisture within the high‑pressure wrapping bag. At temperatures around 20°C, white roots usually begin to emerge after 2–3 weeks. In 3–6 months, the stock will be ready to be removed from the bag. Whether used for jungle styles or compact bonsai, this material is an excellent choice: it develops roots quickly, boasts a high survival rate, and the spent high‑pressure wraps can be cleaned and reused multiple times.
