Description:

Out of curiosity, I decided to try recreating the famous Danish building blocks to create a small model of the Enterprise NCC-1701E. The quality of my blocks is far inferior to the originals, but it was still fun to try, and the final result is visually decent, although there's not the same pleasure in freely assembling, disassembling, and reassembling the model to your liking.

Printing Instructions:

Only two pieces require support (the two slanted pieces on the first build plate); all the others must be printed without support or they will be a nightmare to clean up and may be impossible to fit together.

I separated the pieces by color and assembly stage, as well as to simplify printing; when I tried to fill the build plate, I encountered many problems with adhesion and warping of the models.

I recommend printing them in small groups, trying to keep them in the center of the build plate; If you absolutely trust your print bed, feel free to group all the parts of the same color onto a single print bed, reducing print time and material waste.

Assembly Instructions:

I've attached a PDF file containing the assembly instructions.

I should point out right away that you'll need to use glue and pliers to secure the pieces together (to help hold the pieces in place while gluing, I used clamps, as shown in the photo). Some of the blocks fit together correctly, but most are too loose or too tight. This may be due to the filament used, and using a different quality will improve the result.

Post-processing:

Before you begin gluing the parts, I recommend checking that the edges of the individual pieces are smooth, to prevent them from fitting together properly once the glue is applied.
