3D‑Printed Pencils That Can Be Sharpened—Just Like the Real Thing~
This design was inspired by eco‑friendly, recycled‑paper pencils. The Japanese Kambara Studio has reimagined this concept with a honeycomb‑structured design, using corrugated paper instead of wood—six layers of hollow paper tubes encase the graphite lead, preserving only the essential function.

Every 3D printing enthusiast has those few leftover pieces at the end of a print job—pieces that always leave me wondering how to put them to good use. Luckily, I also had some unused 2.0 graphite leads lying around, so I decided to take advantage of this project to repurpose them and reduce waste.

When the print reaches about 60%, it will automatically pause. At this point, simply insert a 100mm‑long 2.0 graphite lead—lightly coat the lead with white glue to secure it inside the pen barrel—and resume printing. You’ll only need about 2 grams of material.

Now it’s time to enjoy the satisfying process of sharpening your very own 3D‑printed pencil!
