This is a rare, compact tabletop strategy game that’s not commonly found in China.

Nokanoka Chess:

Winning Condition: When one player manages to move their pieces off the opponent’s five‑square defensive zone—those five squares along the board’s edge—the game is won.

Gameplay:

1. At the start of each turn, both players may move one piece any number of spaces in any of the eight cardinal directions, as long as they remain within the boundaries of the board.

2. Pieces can be stacked—white on black, white on white—up to a maximum of three layers, meaning you can stack up to three pieces vertically.

3. Only the topmost piece in a stack is eligible to move.

The real fun lies in outmaneuvering your opponent by strategically blocking and stacking pieces.

The rules are straightforward, making this a delightful, light‑weight board game perfect for casual play.

Two storage tubes are included to neatly hold the black and white pieces—and of course, you’re free to use any colors you like!
