86‑Panel Platform – Switch and Outlet Box – Designed to Conceal Unsightly Features

During home renovations, we added an extra drinking water pipe outlet to the wall—though the exposed piping wasn’t very aesthetically pleasing. To address this, we designed a simple box to cover the pipe, securing it in place using a nearby 86‑panel mounting frame, eliminating the need for additional wall-mounting solutions. That’s why this is a box—and not a full platform. Of course, you can easily modify the design in your slicing software to create a straightforward platform if desired.

Benefits:

1. Utilizes existing switch positions to securely mount a box, effectively concealing unused drinking water pipes or other unsightly elements in the vicinity.

2. Provides a convenient storage solution for small items—like those “dummy13” figurines you’ve printed in excess but don’t know where to put.

3. The switch and outlet box itself can be mounted directly using its built‑in screws, requiring no additional hardware—making it easy to install on any type of wall while providing reliable protection for your wall surfaces.
