Simple Lid Overlap
By employing a clever technique to remove the top and bottom layers, combined with a 15% spiral infill pattern, you can achieve visually appealing results after slicing—and you can further fine‑tune the infill density as needed.
This design effectively shields hair and small objects while remaining easy to clean, highly reusable, and cost‑efficient to produce.
Use the “Measure” function in your slicing software to verify that the model dimensions are appropriate; if not, simply scale and adjust the model size accordingly. It’s best to avoid having the model sit flush against the build plate or protrude excessively—aim for a slight inward recess, with the model just a hair smaller than the surface, ideally by about one layer’s depth.
