Magnetic Sorting Tray
This functional design combines everyday 3D printing principles with a clean, practical layout. It’s built for usability, featuring hidden magnets embedded in the base to help keep small items organized. Whether you're using it for parts, fasteners, or desk accessories, it’s a reliable and easy-to-print solution.

This version requires four magnets.

 

IMPORTANT
To embed magnets, pause the print at layer height 4.60 mm. This applies when sliced at 0.20 mm layer height. If you're using a different layer height, adjust the pause point accordingly.

Infill: 15%–30%
Infill Type: Gyroid
Supports: No
Filament: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA
Layer Height: 0.2 mm recommended
Perimeters: 2–3
Top/Bottom Layers: 4
Print Speed: 50–60 mm/s
Cooling: 100% fan after initial layers
Brim/Raft: Not needed
