This is a 3D‑printed wire saw specially designed for lightweight gardening pruning and handcrafted model cutting. It’s printed in one piece using PETG or ABS filament and accommodates 0.3–0.5 mm steel wire saw blades, enabling efficient cutting of branches, softwood, plastic, and other materials.

Core Structure and Functions

1. Dual‑hole blade‑fixing mechanism: Two pre‑drilled mounting holes allow quick threading and secure knotting of the steel wire blade, eliminating the need for additional tools when changing blades.

2. Ergonomic grip zone: The handle features dual hollow grooves that accommodate both full‑finger and half‑finger grips, reducing slippage during prolonged use and providing more stable leverage.

3. Curved load‑bearing frame: With an overall bow‑shaped structure, it delivers consistent tension to the saw blade, minimizing blade wobble during cutting and enhancing both efficiency and precision.

Printing and Usage Instructions

- Recommended Filaments:

- PETG: Offers a balance of toughness and impact resistance, resisting brittleness and cracking—ideal for outdoor, humid environments. Print at 230–250°C without requiring post‑processing.

- ABS: Highly resistant to bending and with superior heat tolerance compared to PLA, making it well suited for high‑frequency applications. We recommend printing in a closed chamber at 240–260°C; surface strength and toughness can be further enhanced through acetone fuming.

- Structural Strength: Wall thickness ≥ 3 mm, with an optimized arc radius on the frame to minimize deformation under stress and better handle the tensile loads imposed during sawing.

- Support‑free design: The main body can be printed flat without additional tree‑like supports, reducing printing complexity and material waste.

- Applicable Scenarios: Perfect for trimming small branches on potted plants and cutting thin wood sheets or model components. Not recommended for heavy‑duty tasks involving metal or thick hardwoods, as this could lead to frame deformation.
