Once, Murmurgrave was the loudest creature in the entire Enchanted Forest.
He perched above royal gardens, cemetery gates, abandoned towers, and moonlit tea gatherings, endlessly repeating every secret he overheard. Noble scandals. Forbidden romances. Witch quarrels. Failed spells. Nothing remained hidden once the little poszáta arrived. 🖤
At first, the forest found him amusing.
Then dangerous.
Legend says an ancient sorceress finally cursed the bird after hearing her own private grief repeated back to her by his mocking little voice. But instead of taking his life…
…she stole only his ability to gossip.
Now Murmurgrave still opens his beak as if he wishes to speak — yet no words ever come out. Only silence.
And somehow…
that silence became far more unsettling than the endless chatter ever was. 🌙
His twisted ornamental feathers are said to preserve the final secrets he was never allowed to reveal. Some believe that if you listen carefully enough near him at midnight, you can almost hear unfinished whispers trapped beneath the feathers.
Almost.
But never clearly. ✨
