Tweedledum & Tweedledee (White Bishops) | "Through the Looking-Glass" Chess
“If you think we're wax-works, you ought to pay, you know. Wax-works weren't made to be looked at for nothing, nohow!” “Contrariwise,” added the one marked ‘DEE,’ “if you think we're alive, you ought to speak.”
Alice's journey across the chessboard continues, and her path is suddenly blocked by the most contrary pair in the entire Looking-Glass world. Representing the two White Bishops, these brothers might look identical at first glance, but their characters—and their items—are as different as night and day.
Introducing Tweedledum and Tweedledee — a dynamic duo ready to guard the diagonals of your chess-board.

About the models
These two models are designed to be printed as a pair of White Bishops, each with his own distinct personality meticulously captured in 3D:
- Tweedledum (Left): With a stern, grumpy frown, he looks ready for a battle (even if it's just over a spoiled rattle). He firmly holds a classic Bishop's staff in one hand and a wooden pawn in the other, strictly calculating his next strategic move.
- Tweedledee (Right): Sporting a wide-eyed, bewildered expression, he seems perfectly lost in the absurdities of this world. He clutches a secret Diary with a large key, while his staff is topped with a looking-glass—a nod to the inverted reality they live in.
Both figures wear their iconic plump sailor-style outfits and caps. They stand on sturdy bases, clearly inscribed with their names and their noble chess rank: "BISHOP".
♟ The Grand Game Continues (Collection)
This set of two figures serves as the White Bishops in our growing collection of 3D-printable chess pieces based on Lewis Carroll's tale "Through the Looking-Glass".
Place them on the c1 and f1 squares to support your White Pawn Alice! Follow the profile so you don't miss the upcoming pieces. The board is getting crowded, and the mad Knights and royal monarchs are soon to arrive.
⚙ Contrary Printing Tips (Settings)
To ensure these two brothers don't throw a tantrum on your print bed, follow these guidelines:
- Recommended technology: FDM printing. Use a layer height of 0.16 mm or less (with a 0.4 mm nozzle) to smoothly capture their round features, the texture of their sweaters, and the small details like the diary and the pawn.
- Scale: The models are scaled by default to fit standard chess proportions as Bishops. They can be scaled up together if you prefer larger collectible figures.
- Supports: Tree supports (organic supports) are required. Make sure to carefully support their staffs, outstretched arms, the diary, and the protruding brims of their caps.
Now, will you shake hands and resolve the battle, or prepare for a fight? Nohow! Contrariwise!
♟ The Grand Game Continues (Collection)
The chessboard is filling up, and the Looking-Glass world is getting more crowded by the minute! These contrary brothers are far from the only participants in our grand game.
Previous Moves:
White Pawn Alice — Every great adventure begins with a single step. Have you helped her reach the Eighth Rank yet?
![]()
Red Queen — She dictates the pace of the entire game and demands flawless execution. A formidable antagonist, without whom the collection would be incomplete.
🧱 The Next Move: Humpty Dumpty
Don't get too comfortable, for in this world, a "great fall" is always a possibility! Sitting precariously atop a high brick wall, the most scholarly and arrogant character in the kingdom is already preparing his lecture. Representing the Red Rook, Humpty Dumpty will soon join the game with his signature monocle, heavy book of words, and his own rules of language. Follow the profile so you don't miss his triumphant appearance on the board!
