1. Clean Cutting & Sanding

  • Flush Cutting: When using the knife to remove the box supports, try to cut slightly away from the main body first, then use a sharp hobby knife (like an X-Acto) to shave the remaining material flush.
  • Smoothing the Edge: Use 400 to 600 grit sandpaper to smooth the exit edge where the support was attached. This removes the "burrs" and creates a seamless transition.
  • Fixing Discoloration: If the plastic turns white from the stress of the cut, a quick pass with a heat gun or a lighter (just for a second!) will usually bring the original color back.

2. Precision Gluing

  • The "Toothpick" Method: Instead of applying glue directly from the bottle, squeeze a small amount onto a scrap piece of paper. Use a toothpick or needle to apply tiny dots of glue to the logo plate and the exit edge. This prevents "squeeze-out" (excess glue leaking out the sides).
  • Alignment: Before the glue sets, use a pair of tweezers to ensure the Logo Plate is perfectly centered and level against the main frame.
  • Avoid Fogging: If you are using CA glue (Super Glue), ensure you are in a well-ventilated area to prevent "blooming" (that white frosty residue that appears around the glue site).

3. Aesthetic Finishing

  • Seam Filling: If there is a visible gap between the logo plate and the frame, you can use a tiny bit of plastic filler or wood putty, sand it flat, and then touch it up with a marker.
  • Highlighting the Logo: To make the logo pop, you can use a paint pen (Gold, Silver, or White) to color the raised lettering of the logo before gluing it onto the frame.
  • Uniform Texture: Once everything is glued, a light coat of Matte or Satin Clear Spray will help unify the texture and hide any minor scuffs or sanding marks from the assembly process.
