I was eager to print with PPA-CF to push the limits of my printer. However, since I couldn’t find any suitable or meaningful models, I designed this pincer to test just how strong PPA-CF really is.

To be honest, I ended up regretting destroying the pincer at full force—but it can withstand extremely high loads.

I’ve uploaded three print profiles: PLA, ASA, and PPA-CF.

If you’d like additional print profiles, please let me know in the comments.

Print Profiles

PLA
This profile is intended solely as a sample/test model and is not suitable for practical use.

ASA:
Suitable only for light-duty applications.

PPA-CF

• Printed on a G10 print bed
• Dry the filament for at least 5 hours at 90°C, even if it’s a new spool
• Continue drying during printing
• Remove the support structures after printing

Annealing (recommended):

• Bake for 2 hours at 160°C in the oven
• Then allow it to cool slowly to relieve internal stresses in the material.

The jaws are printed separately and made of PETG

Material list: 1x M6x40 bolt and nut; 1x M5x20 bolt and locknut; 3x M4x20 bolts and locknuts.

The image shows a standard grip plier that will be released at a later date but uses the same screw configuration.
