  • Outdoor kitchen wheel for boiler

My crawfish boiler wheels rusted.  I designed and printed new wheels using Sunlu PA-6 GF.  They hold the weight of the boiler, 30 gallons of water and seafood.  The PA-6 GF is heat tolerant to 410 deg F., so they stand up to the heat of the boiler.  I designed a hub with spaces for TPU O-rings to keep water out of the bearing area.

I dried the filament in my oven for 6 hours then preheated my printer and Creality filament dryer. (Creality dryer on goes to 70 deg. C.)

I do not recommend printing if you do not have a dryer.  PA6 is extremely hygroscopic.

Printer settings: Elegoo did not have PA-6 GF in the filament settings.  I used Generic PA6-CF.

***** Dry the PA-6 GF at 110 deg. C./230 deg. F.  (Do not skip this part)

Preheat the printer and your filament dryer.

Remove the filament from the oven, place in the dryer quickly.

Run the dryer at 70 deg. C. the entire time it is printing.

Do a couple small test prints to ensure the filament is dry.
