Italocremona Plastic City Replacement Bricks (1x1–1x4 Compatible Parts)

Replacement parts for Italocremona “Plastic City” building sets

These bricks are designed as drop-in replacement parts for the vintage Italocremona Plastic City system. If you have an old set with missing pieces, this allows you to keep it usable without hunting for scarce originals.

The geometry is matched to the original blocks so they fit and stack properly with existing pieces.

Includes both standard bricks and flat-top variants for additional building flexibility.

Why this exists

Plastic City sets have been out of production for ~40 years and can be difficult to complete. Despite that, the original bricks have held up remarkably well—my kids still enjoy them alongside modern building toys.

This project started as a way to replace the pieces we were missing and keep the set in use.

About Italocremona Plastic City

Italocremona (also written Italo Cremona) was an Italian company active from 1922 to 2007, best known for doll manufacturing.

Around the 1960s, they introduced the Plastic City building system, likely in response to the growing popularity of LEGO bricks at the time. Production continued into the 1980s.

Original pieces are typically stamped:

  • “IC”
  • “Plastic City”
  • “Brev.”

Compared to LEGO, these bricks are physically larger, and the sets themselves were correspondingly larger in scale.

Included parts

  • 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4 bricks (with studs)
  • 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4 flat bricks (no studs)
  • Left/Right partial curve bricks
  • Castle window

(Additional parts may be added over time)

Print notes

  • Prints cleanly without supports
  • Standard settings work well on most printers
  • Recommended print speed: 25–50% for best dimensional accuracy and fit
    • Slower speeds help ensure proper tolerances between bricks
  • Fit may vary slightly depending on printer calibration and filament
