The design of the flower-mouth vase draws inspiration from natural blossoms such as lotuses, begonias, and sunflowers.

  • Linear Composition: The rim of the vase is shaped like delicate petals, while the neck gracefully tapers toward the opening; the body may also feature embossed ridges or petal-like contours that echo the floral motif.
  • Aesthetic Tension: The soft, flowing curves of the flower mouth create a striking contrast with the bold, rich, and deeply layered texture of Jun glaze. Thick glaze applications often produce a “veining” effect along the edges of the flower mouth—where thinner glaze reveals the underlying clay color—enhancing the vessel’s three-dimensional form and visual depth.
