Stringing During PrintingMoisture in the filament can lead to stringing—ensure your filament is thoroughly dried before printing.

Common Causes of “Wavy” or “Bumpy” Prints

1. Insufficient Adhesion to the Build Plate: If you’re using a print bed with lower adhesion—such as a textured PEI plate—or if the contact area between the model and the build plate is relatively small, consider adding or thickening the brim. While some users prefer to add a brim, others don’t, so I tailor my settings based on my own specific needs.

2. Filament Quality Issues: ① If you’re using filaments not pre‑configured in the TPU software, you’ll need to consult the manufacturer’s website or retailer to find the optimal print settings for that particular filament and adjust them accordingly; ② Poor‑quality filament will render even the best settings ineffective—this has happened to me more than once when using filaments from other brands that simply didn’t perform well during printing.

Model Strength ConsiderationsIf the model’s strength doesn’t meet your requirements, you can increase the wall thickness, shell layers, or infill density. Since everyone’s needs vary, I’m unable to accommodate every user’s preferences. When necessary, I’ll revise and update the model to better suit your needs.

All of my models have been personally tested through printing. If a print doesn’t turn out as expected, I encourage everyone to identify the root cause and work together to resolve it—after all, we’re all here to learn and improve together.
