Shanhai Jing Mecha Series 121 – “Dongdong” Type II Armored Field Gun

This series features mechas inspired by mythical creatures from the Shanhai Jing. Other notable series include the Bagua Mecha (based on famous mountains and rivers across China’s provinces, such as Chaohu Lake, Mount Lishan, Badaling, and Namtso), and the Mythical Mecha (featuring characters from Chinese mythology, including Sun Wukong, Yang Jian, and the Ox Demon King). The China Weapons Series encompasses siege engines, defensive fortifications, and field combat equipment.

The Shanhai Jing series is further subdivided into multiple sub‑series, including the Biological Form Series, Mechanical Form Series, Fighter Aircraft Series, Flying Vehicle Series, Warship Series, Battle Tank Series, Multi‑Purpose Engineering Armor Vehicle Series, Rotary Engineering Armor Vehicle Series, Engineering Armored Truck Series, Military Armored Train Series, Engineering Tractor Series, and Open‑Top Tractor Series, among others.

Simple to print, easy to assemble, lightweight yet sturdy, crafted with precision, designed for effortless assembly—no supports required, no glue needed, and built to withstand rough handling without breaking or deforming!

Note: 1. If the parts are too tight to fit together by hand, simply use the tool hammer provided on the homepage to gently tap the connectors into place.

        2. To prevent printing failures, it’s highly recommended to apply a thin layer of adhesive or spray a release agent onto the print bed—most issues with failed prints stem from an overly smooth print surface.

Prints require no supports (though if your build plate isn’t adhesive, you can add a skirt around the base to improve adhesion), and assembly requires neither glue nor hardware—just a firm press or a light tap with a small hammer when parts feel a bit snug. This makes for an incredibly convenient, authentically Chinese-style assembly model!

Dongdong:

Its shape resembles that of a sheep, but it sports only a single horn and a single eye—curiously, this eye is positioned behind its ear. Its overall appearance is both unique and otherworldly.
Three hundred li to the north lies Mount Tai Xi, barren of vegetation yet rich in gold and jade. There dwells a beast whose form is like that of a sheep: one horn, one eye—and that eye sits just behind the ear. It is called Dongdong, and its cry sounds like the word “xun.” —The Classic of Mountains and Seas: Northern Mountains
