FEATURES
Besides the eye-catching locking mechanism, there are also further features, wich make this deck box unique. There are two storage compartments for small dice or tokens. And the door also acts as command zone. Just slide your commander in from the bottom and you're good to go. This updated version of the box can now hold up to 100 sleeved Magic The Gathering, Pokemon or other trading cards comfortably.
PRINTING
Material
I used 3DJakes magicPLA and ecoPLA Refill.
Supports
Only the Bolts need some supports. Although printing the files Door and Body presupposes some bridging. If you are printing very hot or some less suitable material for bridging like PETG, you might want to support these parts as well.
Orientation
I'd recommend printing all files in the orientation, they are uploaded.
ASSEMBLY
- Take the Center Part 1 and insert the 10 Bolts.
- Put the Center Part 2 onto the first part and press them together pretty hard.
- Now, stack all of this onto the Top 2 part. Make sure that the side with the depressions in the corners is facing downwards. Then put the Top 1 onto it.
- Try to rotate the Center Part while holding the top in place.
- If the Bolts go in and out well, take off the Top 2 and pour some glue into the pentagonal hole in the middle.
- Put the removed part back on again and make sure that the Center Part is still able to rotate!
- Now, take the Body part and slide the door into it.
- Finally, insert the Top with all the bolts retracted. Rotate the upper part of the box counter clockwise until it is locked.
