Introduction:

Recently, the company’s official seal broke. The boss was furious—told us it would cost 200 yuan to have it remade by the manufacturer, and that we’d have to wait several days. He was beside himself with frustration, pacing back and forth in a state of utter panic. I calmly said, “Hold on, hold on—I’ll 3D‑print a replacement for you; it’ll be ready tomorrow. Just transfer 150 yuan to my WeChat account, and that’s all.” (Insert emoji here.) So, during a brief lull in work, I fired up Fusion, quickly sketched out the design, hit “Send,” and printed it right at home. That evening, I picked up the finished seal, brought it to the office the next day—and even threw in a custom, portable storage case perfect for business trips. The boss was utterly amazed, couldn’t put it down, and couldn’t stop bragging about it to everyone he met. Now, whenever he signs multi‑million-dollar contracts on the go, he looks twice as confident—and the company’s status just shot up by one notch. (Daydreaming moment…)

The company seal’s fragile original handle had broken multiple times.

The original design was flimsy—requiring both hands to open and close, and prone to rolling off the desk at the slightest nudge.

Design Philosophy:

1. The original casing for this type of seal is often round or oval—but when you’re stamping numerous documents, it can be frustrating to keep putting the seal down only to worry it’ll roll away. To solve this problem, we designed the seal with a square shape, ensuring it sits steadily no matter which way you place it. Meanwhile, the handle retains a rounded profile for a comfortable, ergonomic grip.
2. We widened the base slightly for added stability, while still keeping the design compact enough for one‑hand operation. Simply press the base with your finger to pop the lid open—no more needing both hands to lift the cover. The original seal’s round, slick lid was prone to smudging your fingers with ink, making it a real hassle to clean up afterward.
3. You can use the text tool in your slicing software to add directional markings—or even include your company name, if you have multiple seals—so you’ll never have to fumble around trying to figure out which side is up. Just write “Top” or “Bottom” directly onto the seal, and you’ll always know exactly how to position it.
4. The carrying case features a recessed bottom that snugly cradles the seal, while the top lid includes a small layer of cushioning foam to absorb shocks and prevent the seal from shifting or falling out. The outer shell is designed to withstand moderate impacts. You’ll need three M3 screws and three M3 nuts to assemble it.
