Three Kingdoms

The Three Kingdoms theme lends itself well to character design, as the Five Tiger Generals of Shu are highly iconic and relatively easy to render with distinct facial features.
However, it’s much more challenging to capture the unique traits of the other generals—aside from Xiahou Dun, who is instantly recognizable thanks to his one-eyed appearance.
As the series progresses, I’m planning to create a set of Five Elite Generals from the Wei Dynasty. Drawing inspiration from Zhang Liao’s character design in “Dynasty Warriors,” I’ve carefully sculpted his face and helmet to reflect that iconic look.
Support structures positioned along the flowing ribbons can be tricky to remove—but honestly, after years of practice, dismantling supports has become second nature for me, no longer posing much of a challenge. My go-to approach is to first trim the support material at the points where it connects to the ribbons, then gently bend along the ribbon edges; with proper support settings in place, these structures come off quite smoothly.
