Kaku Maru is a simple, modern vase featuring pleated geometry designed to be usable and practical. I originally designed this for my wife for Valentine's Day, and printed it in a variety of filaments to give her choices for where to place it. The metallic blue dual-silk filament imparts a contemporary, pop-art vibes, while the darker blue matte filament can be used for more formal environments. Wood filament can of course be used to soften a space. 

• kaku (角): angle, corner, or square

• maru (丸): circle, round, or sphere

The attached print profile uses extra wall loops, bottom layers, increase print temperatures and high flow to make this aesthetic vase as water tight and functional as possible, and this works as an ultra-smooth foundation for pour-and-swirl sealing for longevity. It is also designed to not require supports or brims for super easy printing. 

Youtube tells me that you're not supposed to use daylight/sunshine photos in product photography, but the geometric design of this vase creates geometric shadow gradients that I felt necessary to highlight.

I'm using Alumilite Clear Cast Resin to coat the interior, and it doesn't take much.
