This chamber heater was developed for Elegoo Centauri Carbon printer to print with ABS, ASA, PA6 and other plastics.
The heater operates on 220V AC, while the fan requires 24V DC. To ensure independent power supply and greater universality, an external unit with 24V mini transformer and 220V temperature control module was implemented. The temperature control module manages the transformer.
If a single heater is insufficient for optimal chamber heating, multiple heaters can be connected to one temperature control module. Centauri Carbon printer can accommodate three heaters (in the future, I plan to reduce the heater's size to fit four units). However, in my opinion, two heaters are sufficient to maintain a 60°C chamber temperature when used in conjunction with the heated bed.
For mounting the heater to the printer's body, 8x2 magnets are inserted into the rear cover (I used two magnets per hole), and the cover is secured to the body with screws.
The electrical connection is simple: the heating elements are connected to the 220V AC input of the transformer, and the fans are connected to the 24V DC output. The transformer is controlled by the temperature control module. A wiring diagram for the module is included in the module's documentation.
!!!IMPORTANT!!! All electrical work must be performed by qualified professionals, following safety procedures and standards.
To route the cables inside the printer, I used the hole for the filament holder by replacing spool mount with passthrough one.
