[Model Overview]

Welcome to the artistic殿堂 of ancient Chinese civilization. This model is a high-precision replica of the precious Shang–Zhou–period artifact—the “You” with carrying handles—unearthed in Xinyang, Henan Province. The You is a type of wine vessel that was popular from the late Shang Dynasty through the early Western Zhou period. With its distinctive shape and exquisite decorative motifs, this particular You exemplifies the remarkable achievements of Central Plains bronze culture.

[Historical Context]

The original artifact was excavated in Xinyang, Henan (specifically in the vicinity of the Changtaiguan Chu tomb complex, reflecting the cultural fusion between Zhou and Chu traditions) and is now housed in a relevant museum. Beyond being a practical drinking vessel, it also served as a symbol of power and social status.

[Model Features and Details]

This 3D model has been professionally designed to faithfully reproduce the intricate details of the original, making it ideal for cultural exhibitions, desktop displays, or educational presentations.

  • Exquisite Decorative Motifs: As shown in the images, the body of the vessel is adorned with finely crafted geometric triangular patterns, kui dragon motifs, and taotie mask designs (in a simplified version, applied to the front of the lid and along the band-like decorations on the body), with every single line clearly discernible.
  • Unique Carrying Handles: The model accurately reproduces the woven-texture design of the handles, which are connected to the vessel via vivid animal-head clasps. Not only are these handles structurally stable, but they also possess a strong aesthetic appeal.
  • Modular Design: The model typically consists of the vessel body, the lid, and the articulated carrying handles (either as separate parts or assembled together), facilitating both printing and assembly. The handles are movable, allowing them to swing up and down.
  • Final Appearance: As illustrated, after high-precision printing, the piece undergoes polishing and is then colored using a combination of bronze oxidation tones (lake blue) paired with brass edging, resulting in an astonishingly lifelike artistic effect.

[Printing and Post-Processing Recommendations]

  • Model Scale: The model has been designed at the correct scale; users may resize it as needed (though it is recommended not to make it too small, to preserve the fine details).
  • Material Recommendations: We strongly recommend using photopolymer resin for printing, as this material best captures the intricate decorative patterns and handle details. If PLA is used, opt for a high-precision grade and perform meticulous post-printing打磨.
  • Layer Height: For resin, we suggest 0.05 mm or less; for PLA, 0.1 mm or 0.08 mm is recommended.
  • Support Structures: Minimal support may be required around the edges of the handles and the lid.
  • Coloring Guidelines (as shown in the illustrations):
    1. Apply a full coat of matte lake-blue paint (bronze-based color).
    2. Once dry, use a high-quality brass-colored or gold paint pen to manually outline all raised geometric motifs.
    3. Finally, apply a layer of matte protective varnish.
