⭐Precise modeling in SolidWorks, with strategically placed reinforcing ribs

🚀Model Overview

        This material tray rack features expandable snap-fit connectors, enabling unlimited stacking to maximize storage space. It adopts a non-symmetrical, tilted ergonomic design, supported by three struts, and is compatible with both material trays and filament spools, providing effective support for both applications.

        The bracket further optimizes the center of gravity of the material tray, making it less likely to topple during high-stack configurations. Additionally, based on ergonomic principles, the tilt angle of the filament spool holder has been refined for easier access to filaments; when placing the spool, the optimized tilt eliminates the need for precise alignment, allowing it to be simply pushed in for a secure fit, significantly enhancing user experience and convenience.
        The model was subjected to necessary lightweighting in SolidWorks. After refining the exterior design, essential reinforcing ribs were added to increase structural rigidity and minimize deformation under load. Furthermore, a higher infill density was employed to further strengthen the structure and reduce the risk of breakage. During slicing, since the top surface has relatively little impact on load-bearing capacity, it was fully hollowed out, while the base was thickened to 1.2 mm. This approach achieves lightweighting while also giving the bracket a distinctive aesthetic appearance. The bracket’s junctions with the PC tubing have been reinforced to reduce bending deformation under heavy loads. These joints utilize hexagonal holes for secure fastening, preventing assembly failures caused by excessive tolerances.
        Moreover, the bracket features a modular design, allowing for flexible assembly via mortise-and-tenon connections. Chamfers are provided on both sides of the PC tubing assembly openings to enhance ease of assembly. Based on storage requirements for 220 mm trays, 210 mm trays, and single trays, the bracket includes three types of height-adjustable connectors that can be freely combined according to individual needs, supporting unlimited stacking and effectively improving space utilization.

🚀Printing Recommendations

        Please initiate printing from a PC to ensure all print settings are properly applied.

        We recommend using high-strength filaments such as PETG, PC, and PA6-CF to extend the bracket’s service life.

        During printing, please pre-adjust the flow rate ratio and K-value to avoid excessive errors that could affect assembly. Additionally, we suggest moderately increasing the print temperature to enhance model strength. A lower outer-wall speed also helps improve the dimensional accuracy of the outer walls and reduces potential issues during assembly.

🚀Parts List

        Each layer requires three PC tubes, 20 mm in diameter, with a recommended wall thickness of at least 2 mm. Please print one base (containing two components), one pair of expansion pieces, one set of connecting pieces, and prepare three rigid PC tubes for each layer.

        The recommended length for the PC tubes is 300–500 mm; excessively long tubes may bend severely under load and, after prolonged use, are highly prone to fracture due to fatigue.

        The illustration uses 1.5 mm-thick PC tubes, 500 mm long, capable of supporting 6 kg of filament.
