The ELEGOO Smart Robot Car 4.0 originally features a camera gimbal that only supports left-right rotation. To widen the view, it was fixed at an upward angle—making it difficult to clearly see objects positioned lower or directly beneath the camera.

This 3D-printed gimbal upgrade solves that limitation. Using the original servo and screws, it converts the pan-only structure into a tilt-enabled design, allowing smooth up-and-down movement. Left-right viewing is achieved by steering the car itself.

The result is greater FPV flexibility and a much more practical viewing range—effectively addressing users’ key pain point with a simple, efficient modification.
