🛠️ Precision Heat Set Insert Press Tool

This is a high-precision Heat Set Insert Press designed for makers who want perfectly vertical and consistent inserts every time. Built around a robust 2020 Aluminum Profile and an MGN9H Linear Rail, it offers industrial-grade stability in a compact, DIY format.

  • Full Compatibility: The modular arm supports a wide range of tips (M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8).
  • Smooth Action: Linear rail movement ensures zero play and perfect alignment.
  • Auto-Retract System: Integrated mount for a retractable keychain to act as a smart counter-weight.

💡 Assembly & Printing Tips

  • Material Choice: PETG or ASA is highly recommended, especially for the ARM piece. Since the soldering iron generates significant heat, it can soften PLA over time, leading to misalignment. Using high-temp materials ensures the tool remains precise and durable.
  • Settings: 3-4 Walls | 15-20% Infill.
  • Assembly: Use a long Allen key to reach the recessed screws.
  • Counter-weight: Attach the retractable keychain to the rear of the base; thread the wire through the arm's guide hole or use the ring for a secure connection.

⚠️ Safety Note: Always ensure the soldering iron is securely locked and never leave it unattended while hot.
