🔧 Restoring function with custom design

After several years, the seat belts in my old car lost their protective housings. The mechanism still works perfectly, so there was no need to replace it. That’s why I decided to design a new pair of covers.

For this version, I added a pressure-fit clamp meant to hold the parts together while gluing… but after testing, it held so well I kept it as part of the final design 💡

🖨️ Print test:

• Material: Grey PLA (though PETG, ASA, or ABS is highly recommended due to cabin heat)
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 15%
• Nozzle temp: 201 °C
• Bed temp: 55 °C
• 3 walls, 3 top layers, 3 bottom layers

🔧 Restaurando funcionalidad con diseño personalizado

Después de varios años, los cinturones de seguridad de mi viejo auto perdieron sus carcazas. El mecanismo sigue funcionando perfectamente, así que no había razón para reemplazarlo. Por eso decidí diseñar un par de carcazas nuevas.

Para esta versión incluí una abrazadera a presión que originalmente iba a usarse solo durante el pegado... pero al testearla quedó tan firme que decidí dejarla como parte del diseño final 💡

• Relleno: 15%
• Temperatura del nozzle: 201 °C
