These pin-style badges can be easily converted into magnetic attachments—perfect for use as fridge magnets or iron door decals.

Advantages:

1. Customizable colors—black door decals utilize black filament, ensuring a minimal visual presence.

2. Low production costs and short print times (a batch of just over ten pieces takes no more than 15–20 minutes to print).

We’ve developed two distinct designs:

1. Chess-piece shape: Easy to assemble and straightforward to install.

2. Little shoe shape: Smaller in size, even more understated, with an even lower visual profile.

Both designs are compatible with 8mm diameter × 3mm thick magnets, as well as 6mm diameter × 2mm thick magnets.

(Using 8mm diameter × 3mm thick magnets provides exceptionally secure adhesion—but in fact, most of my badges are under 5cm in size, so the magnetic strength of 6mm diameter × 2mm magnets is more than sufficient.)

When first attaching magnets and pins, you may need to use small pliers to gently press them into place. Be careful not to accidentally bend or break the pins already attached to your badge—handle with care!

I prefer to simply press the magnets in for a secure hold, without using glue. To remove them, just apply heat with a hot air gun, then use another magnet to effortlessly pull them out. Of course, you’re also welcome to use strong adhesives like 502 glue for permanent attachment if you’d like.

We recommend PLA filament for printing; PETG tends to be too slippery and can lead to less stable results.
