I designed these pieces to mount LEGO DOTS or other LEGO art on the wall. I was having trouble finding a way to mount these elegantly without just sticking the baseplates to the wall. They are designed to work with DOTS creations mounted on baseplates with 1 DOT thickness on the edges.  You could, however, use them with more 3D creations made with studs and other pieces, you would just need 6x6 dots at the corners. Note that this will not work with thicker building plates, only baseplates. 

You could use 3M command strips or other mounting tape to stick them to the wall. 

The mounts are designed as such to cover about ¾ of a DOT width so you can see the edges of your creations while still being secure! 

Note that these are a tight fit and printing them on a miscalibrated printer could result in them not fitting. In that case, adjust scale accordingly in your slicer.

I have included 2 versions, one with rounded corners, and one with square corners.

Print Settings:

It shouldn't really matter too much what print settings you use, but if you print them flat you will need supports that are a little difficult to remove. I recommend using a hook style pick or thin needle nose pliers. Since these will be for display, smaller layer heights and ironing would result in a more finished piece. Alternatively you could print them upside down with supports to leave a build plate finish of your choice, any support crusties will be covered by your art piece. PLA or PETG are both fine.  I printed with 5% infill, gyroid.
