This Child & Pet Safety Cabinet Lock is a compact and easy-to-print solution for securing wardrobe doors, cabinets, cupboards, storage units, and lightweight furniture doors.
The design uses a rotating arm with a hook mechanism that locks around a fixed round catch. When closed, the arm helps keep the two doors together. To open it, simply rotate the arm upward and release the hook.
It is especially useful for homes with young children or pets, helping to prevent unwanted access to cabinets, wardrobes, cleaning supplies, storage spaces, or other household areas.
The model is designed to be simple, strong, and easy to install using screws.

How It Works
Mount one round piece on the first door and the catch piece on the second door.
The rotating arm swings into place and hooks around the catch, helping to keep the doors closed.
To unlock, rotate the arm away from the catch.

Printing Tips
Print with a strong material such as PLA+, PETG, or ABS for better durability.
Use enough wall thickness and infill to make the rotating arm strong.
Suggested settings:
Layer height: 0.20 mm
Walls: 3–4
Infill: 25–40%
Material: PLA+, PETG, or ABS
Supports: Not required or minimal, depending on orientation
Installation
You will need small screws suitable for your cabinet or wardrobe material.
Do not overtighten the screw on the rotating arm, so the arm can still move freely.
