Here is a completly modular system which I originally designed to rigidify the laundry basket which I bought in Verbaudet for my kids a few years back.
I was super disappointed at the time that the things was not rigid enough to stand by itself … until it was full.
… so much that my kid just discovered yesterday it was indeed representing a washing machine.
I put 2 choices of nuts, and four choices for length. If you need other sizes, offer me a coffee, and I will gladly adapt the model to your specific needs.
It gets a little bit more technical for screwing-in the last rods. You need first to screw one side until the end, place the other nut against the free end of the rod, and then screw the rod in the other direction. I'll try to upload a gif to demonstrate the procedure.
