Anyone with a passion for Daniel Noreé’s work has likely already noticed that he’s released the OpenR/C Formula 1. This F1 race car can be printed in PLA and is designed to make assembly and printing effortless for everyone—no matter your skill level. To top it off, a ball bearing kit is now available http://www.fasteddybearings.com/openrc-f1-sealed-bearing-kit/, perfectly tailored for this vehicle :- )
I originally created rain tires for the standard rims, but I also designed these low-profile rim/tire combinations purely for fun. The low-profile tires feature a novel snap‑on design that securely fastens the tire using a triangular interlocking mechanism. What’s more, this design doesn’t seal the tire internally, resulting in a slightly softer feel since air isn’t trapped inside (though I’ve also included a solid, sealed version for those who prefer a more rigid construction).
This snap‑on design is also compatible with tires and rims that can be used with the OpenR/C Touring Car or similar RC vehicles—naturally.
