Zulian Defender Shield for Dummy 13

Back to Zul’Gurub!

In the “good old days”, where instead of making bazillion new alts and gearing them to full epic in few evenings, we were focusing on one character and slowly collecting gear. It was a lot harder to get, so even blue items were crazy desired. As a resto shammy I wanted this one :) It looks so cool I’m still using it as a transmog years after original raid. I had to prepare it for my Dummy 13 :)

How to print this model.

Small size and many coloring details require 0.12mm layer height. Don’t try it with 0.2mm as you loose details on pikes and wooden texture on the shield. Arachne wall generator is a must.

Due to a lot of small colored parts clean build plate is required!

There is 5 colors for the shield pikes. If you use standard 4-color system, use silver filament instead of brown.

How to build this model.

Model is printed in 4 parts. Shield, bottom and upper part of pikes and Dummy 13 handle. After printing glue both parts of pikes. Remove little supports on the back of the shield (I added them because instead of nice bridging slicer is doing some weird coloring moves, leaving unwanted filament in pike slot areas) and glue pikes to it. After that, glue Dummy 13 handle to the slot in the middle of pikes. Jobs done :)
