Get ready to blow someone’s mind this Valentine’s Day! This design is a playful artistic fusion, combining the organic silhouette of a ripe apple with the iconic "waffle" grid texture of a classic Mk 2 hand grenade.

Instead of shrapnel, this "weapon" is loaded with love. The standard grid segments have been replaced with heart-shaped recesses. You can print the model in single color and leave it subtle, or print the separate Heart Inserts in any color to create a popping, pixelated love.

Design & Inspiration

The concept plays on the duality of passion. The shape is harmless and sweet (Apple), but the texture implies a sudden burst of emotion (Grenade). It fits perfectly into modern, pop-art style home decor.

Versatile Uses

While it looks great on a shelf, it is also highly functional. The model is hollow and can be used in several ways:

• Succulent Planter: As shown in the photos, it makes an adorable cache-pot for small plants or seedlings.
• Candy Bowl: Fill it with chocolates to emphasize the "sweet" side of the slogan.
• Storage Spot: Use it to organizer for small items.

Printing Instructions

• Material: any.
• Supports: Critical regions tree support might be needed, depending on your printer's cooling.
• Infill: 10-15% is sufficient.
• The Hearts: The heart inserts are designed to be printed separately and glued into place. This allows you to print the body in one color and the hearts in another without an MMU (Multi-Material Unit).

Customization notes

To suit your printer and your patience, I have included 3 shape variants:

1. Empty (Fully Customizable): The ultimate DIY version. It features empty slots for up to 120 heart inserts in total. I've included 5 different types of heart inserts, so you can mix and match textures (24 pieces per type if you use them all).
2. Half Filled: A stylish checkerboard pattern. 50% of the hearts are pre-printed into the wall, and the remaining 50% are slots waiting for your colored inserts.
3. Fully Filled: The "print and go" version. All hearts are solid and part of the model. No assembly or inserts required.

Of course, it is entirely up to you how to fill the apple... or if you want to leave it empty for a minimal look!
