Dune is a minimalist analog clock designed to work both as a wall clock and a desk clock, offering flexibility in how it integrates into your space.

Its design is inspired by the soft geometry of sand dunes. Each hour is defined by a subtle raised curve, where the crest of each “dune” marks the time. There are no numbers, just a clean, continuous landscape that lets the light and shadows define the reading of time in a more intuitive and sculptural way.

The clock is composed of two semicircular halves that fit together precisely using small connector joints, forming a complete circular body. On the back, the design integrates the housing for the clock mechanism, along with multiple mounting options: a slot for a desk stand, a keyhole-shaped opening for wall mounting with a screw, and an additional slot compatible with standard wall hooks used for hanging frames. This makes Dune adaptable to different environments and setups.

How to Print

All parts are designed for easy printing and do not require supports.

Print the two main semicircles with the flat cut side resting on the build plate. The connector joints and the optional desk stand can also be printed directly in standard orientation.

Use standard settings:

• Layer height: 0.20 mm
• Infill: ~20%
• Supports: none

Once printed, insert the connector joints into the side slots to join both halves into a full circle. Install the clock mechanism in the rear cavity.

For wall mounting, use a screw with a head diameter of 8mm max. and hang the clock using the keyhole slot. Alternatively, use the secondary slot compatible with standard wall hooks. For desk use, simply insert the base into its rear slot.

You can print both halves in the same color for a uniform look or combine different colors to highlight the dune pattern.
