L'aeropostale (published in 2013 by Asyncron) is a great game, very interesting & very thematic…

But it requires a lot of setup, token sorting…

I designed a series of 3d printable models to enhance the player game-experience… and greatly decrease the setup time.

This model is a setup box designed to hold all the elements needed for setting-up the map

All the cavities are sized so that it is obvious if a token / tile is missing.

Elements for setup are split per region, from the left of the map to the right, in order to make the map setup super easy, quick and straightforward… Just the contrary of what it was so far!

The weather cards for the different geographic lines are used for dividing the map setup box in different regions corresponding to the regions on the map. The “wing” tokens which have to be placed on the corresponding regions are grouped by color, so that it is obvious to identify missing tokens.

I strongly advise to start setting-up the map from left to right, with the map setup box oriented in the same way.

For filling-up the box after a game, I also advise to start from left to right, also referencing the indications on the map to know what “wing” token correspond to what region.

Finally, I designed a nice see-through cover which also is flushed with the different token/tiles to prevent them from moving.

The cover is also designed so that it holds in place when the game is moved around

Once you tried it… the feared map installation will just pass like a breeze!
