I created this Lithophane Lampshade to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse. The imagery of the shade is a more modern, fantastical visual of Chinese New Year themes, with a horse of flame galloping through a New Year celebration.


 

I used Transparent Red PLA and a 40 Watt bulb, but it should work with Red PETG and a high wattage bulb. It's always hard to capture the details of a lithophane shade with a phone camera, but the details show up nicely when printed!


 

This is a high detail, highly textured lithophane. Lithophanes need to be printed VERY slowly, and the shorter layer height the better detail. 


 

It's designed to fit on a lamp with a 1-5/8 threaded uno shade mount.
