Starting from the model of orchids pot proposed by asp3d, I designed the ultimate orchids tray for keeping your orchids hydrated.

 

The tray is specially designed to contain clay beads/balls immerged in water. The orchid pot is placed on top, holding in place thanks to dedicated stands.

 

Thanks to the clay balls, evaporation will remain limited, and your orchids will remain well hydrated.

If you choose to print in tranparent PETG, like me, you will also easily be able to  evaluate the level of water, and fill it up when necessary.

 

I strongly advise you to print in PETG, because when I printed in tranluscent PLA, transparency was not sufficient to evaluate the water level… and water was able to permeate through the PLA tray

 

I designed  different sizes corresponding to the orchids pots my orchids came with: 

  • 86mm (which appears to be the standard size),
  • 97mm
  • 102mm.

Just measure the bottom diameter of your orchid pot before printing the corresponding tray.

 

If you want me to upload other sizes, offer me a coffe, and I will gladly adapt the model to your specific needs.
